April brings over 20 years of experience in the social services field and a deep passion for making a difference through her leadership as CEO of Hope Cooperative. In this role, she provides strategic direction to advance the organization’s mission of supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and serious mental health challenges. She is committed to ensuring that Hope Cooperative continues to adapt, innovate, and lead in delivering community-based solutions.
Under her leadership, the organization has expanded critical housing and outreach services, strengthened community partnerships, launched initiatives promoting diversity and anti-racism, and significantly increased visibility through enhanced marketing efforts. April is dedicated to fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and hope at every level of the organization.
April’s deep commitment to systemic change extends beyond her role at Hope Cooperative. She currently serves on the Boards of the California Behavioral Health Association (2025), the Sacramento Housing Alliance (2024), and A Different Path (2020), as well as on the Sacramento County Health Authority Commission (2023). Through these roles, she champions integrated, community-driven solutions that advance housing stability, public health, and mental wellness.
For April, leading Hope Cooperative is more than a job — it is a personal and profoundly meaningful commitment. She is driven by the belief that housing, mental health care, and human dignity are fundamental rights. Each day at Hope Cooperative offers the opportunity to turn that belief into action — helping individuals reclaim their futures and contributing to the creation of a more compassionate, just community for all.
