Dauras is a Los Angeles native with a social justice background. As the Senior Organizer and subsequent Policy Manager for Legal Services for Prisoners with Children, Dauras collaborated with stakeholders to pass legislation including ‘Free the Vote,’ restoring disenfranchised citizens’ voting rights, and ‘Debt Free Justice CA,’ assembling community organizations, advocates, government partners, and impacted people to eliminate discriminatory administrative fees imposed on low income, justice involved people.

Dauras joined Hope Cooperative in 2022 as the Co-Occurring Treatment Program’s Lead Care Coordinator for the Enhanced Care Management (ECM) program. Most recently, Dauras joined Hope’s new CALAIM Program to manage a team in providing Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports to work directly with insurance companies in improving members’ health outcomes. Dauras’s work centers unhoused and high-utilizing clients. He is committed to empowering systematically marginalized populations in the veins of employment, education, housing, and social services. Dauras is a Registered Substance Use Disorder Counselor with the California Association of DUI Programs (CADTP). Dauras earned his Bachelor’s in Social Science from New England College and his Master’s in Non-Profit Administration from LSU-Shreveport.
