Dr. Felicia Haecker, Ed.D

Secretary, Hope Cooperative University of Massachusetts Global Adjunct Faculty & JD Thompson and Associates Associate Consultant

I help emerging leaders understand who they are at their core and how to use this knowledge to shape the kind of leader they want to become. My philosophy is that working from the inside out allows for alignment of the mind, heart, and future leadership aspirations. Working with these leaders to create a foundational vision for their leadership journey is part my passion and purpose. I utilize my experiences and training from my time on active duty in the United States Air Force and the scholarly knowledge gained throughout my educational journey to develop clear and strategic pathways for emerging leaders to meet their intended goals.
My areas of expertise include leadership coaching, vision creation and implementation, transformational leadership, change management and adult life transitions. I have consulted on projects and delivered workshops to the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce, Olam International and Redefining You Foundation.
I am passionate about teaching and serve as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Massachusetts Global, where I teach in the Business Department facilitating courses in Organizational Leadership. I also teach and coach veterans in the Veteran Treatment Court program for the city of Sacramento. Avid reader, researcher, and lifelong reader, I have Doctorate in Education with a focus on Organizational Leadership from Brandman University, part of the Chapman University system, a master’s degree in Health and Human Services from the University of Oklahoma, and a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Excelsior University. My dissertation was a published study on Female Veterans Postsecondary Education Experience, which addressed how female veterans navigate life transitions post military service. I have received certifications from Cornell University in Diversity and Inclusion, and the Science of Happiness from University of California, Berkeley and 4Mat to Transform Instruction.
