Jacqueline Jimenez, LCSW

New Direction, Director

Jackie received a B.A. of psychology and minors in Spanish and Counseling and Social Changes from San Diego State University. She quickly worked to gain on-the-ground experience at a residential treatment facility for children and adolescents and working at a First 5 program for children 0-5. Jackie received a Masters in Social Work at Sacramento State University. Jackie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been with Hope Cooperative since 2019. Jackie specializes in having a trauma informed approach with clients. She enjoys teaching and training up staff. New Direction is a program that works with chronically homeless or at-risk of homelessness clients referred by the county. New Direction provides mental health and housing support and is often the only support system many clients have in place, until they can develop new supports. Jackie began her journey at Hope Cooperative as a Clinical Director for New Direction. In this position, Jackie began supervision groups for the case managers to have space to learn, grow, and develop their skills at rehabilitative services for clients. Jackie oversaw the therapist team and MSW interns. Jackie started a morale committee for the program in which members from the program meet to discuss ways to appreciate and honor the team. Jackie transitioned after two year to the Training Director role for the agency. Shortly after, she transitioned into the Program Director role for New Direction. Jackie has a small dog named Mia and enjoys paddle-boarding on her days off.
