Point-in-Time Count 2024 – Sacramento County

The 2024 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is a real-time survey of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness on a single night every other year. The last PIT Count took place in 2022. On January 24th and 25th, 2024, volunteers were deployed throughout the region, with main deployment sites in the City of Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, and Rancho Cordova. Hope Cooperative outreach teams were proud to partner in this effort!

On June 4th, Sacramento Steps Forward released the PIT Count results: In Sacramento County, there has been a 29% decrease in people experiencing homelessness since 2022. See the below materials for more detailed information.
